The Championship Course was a pleasure to play today, a leisurely 18
holes of unhurried golf with empty fairways before and behind meant I
could concentrate on my game and get lost in the tranquility of the
course with just the squall of an oystercatcher or two, the white tail
of a wild rabbit hopping through the rough (luckily from a distance!),
and a course that is improving in condition as the season goes on.
It's
the Rotary Open this weekend, I had to go out and test the greens, the
quality of the fairways, it's a completely different course than two
months ago, it's fast reaching its peak with a great balance of sun and
rain, I would recommend playing during the months of August and
September. The fairways have plenty of carry, few divots, the greens are
quick but measurable and readable.
Looking forward to
heading out on Saturday, hope the weekend is dry, regardless it will be a
pleasure to walk round one of Scotland's most historic golf courses and
a true links experience.

Golf is indeed fun to do. You will be able to meet new friends and new people.
